Thanks to its early involvement in the DVD world, Surround Associates has grown from its original audio-only roots to now feature a wide variety of services that include graphic design to video production to full DVD production and project management.

Recently, the company has also entered into the realm of content creation featuring a custom surround sound library as well as a variety of DVD-Audio, instructional/relaxation DVDs and television projects.

Bobby Owsinski – Managing Director/Executive Producer
One of the first to delve into surround sound music mixing, Bobby Owsinski has worked on a variety of surround projects and DVD productions for such diverse acts as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Paul Simon, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Elvis, Yanni, Iron Maiden, Christopher Cross, Todd Rundgren and George Winston among many, many others.

While a principle in the industry leading DVD production house Surround Associates, he has also penned several hundred audio related articles for popular industry trade publications such as EQ, Surround Professional, Pro Sound News, Recording Engineer/Producer, Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Grammy Magazine, Film and Video and Mix in the areas of general recording, Surround Sound mixing and DVD.

Bobby has authored several books that are now staples in recording programs in colleges around the world including "The Mixing Engineer’s Handbook", "The Mastering Engineer’s Handbook", the “How To Set Up Your Surround Studio” DVD as well as the soon to be published "Tracking Engineer's Handbook". A frequent moderator and panelist at a variety of music and DVD industry conferences, he has also been a consultant, program director and conference chairman for the Surround 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 conferences, producer of the Surround Music Awards, as well as executive producer and director for “The Al and Ed Music Show”.
